Registration is open to students in pre-preparatory or preparatory program stages.

The program offers financial support, academic guidance, personal support, and connections to industry through Israel’s leading academic institutions.

To participate, you must register for or study in a Mechina or pre-Mechina program at one of these four academic institutions:

• Ben-Gurion University of the Negev
• Hebrew University of Jerusalem
• Technion – Israel Institute of Technology
• Bar-Ilan University

For your bachelor’s degree, you may continue at one of those institutions or transfer to:

• University of Haifa
• Ariel University
• Lev Academic Center
• Sami Shamoon College of Engineering

The program supports STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, excluding biology), including degrees in:

• Engineering
• Exact sciences
• Mathematics
• Natural sciences
• Biotechnology
• Agriculture

During the pre-Mechina and Mechina stage, admission requires enrollment at one of these four institutions:

The process is completed online. All you need to do is fill out the registration form and upload the required documents through the application portal. Once the information has been reviewed, the program team will contact you about the next steps.

No. Our support begins before the bachelor’s degree and is intended for students in the pre-Mechina or Mechina stage, as well as Mechina graduates.

You may submit your application to the scholarship program while applying to a Mechina or pre-Mechina.

However, participation in the program depends on being officially accepted into one of the partner academic institutions.

The program is designed for students in the pre-preparatory or preparatory stages of their academic journey. As a result, applications are only accepted during those stages.

No. Students who joined during the pre-Mechina or Mechina stage and continue to a bachelor’s degree in a supported STEM field keep their place in the program without reapplying.

You may continue your bachelor’s degree at the institution where you completed your Mechina or transfer to another partner institution participating in the program. The full list of institutions appears under the question “Which academic institutions participate in the program?”

No, we recommend moving forward with application submission. Missing documents can be completed with the program team if you move forward to the next stage of the admissions process.

The program provides financial support that allows students to focus on their studies, including:

• Living stipend
• A laptop computer

• Academic support: tutoring, academic advising, and personalized guidance.
• Career guidance: mentoring programs, professional networking, and practical experience.

• Emotional support: assistance in navigating academic and personal challenges, with support for any issue that affects the ability to study and succeed.

STEM studies require significant commitment and focus. The program’s financial support is designed to give you peace of mind and allow you to concentrate fully on your studies without worrying about earning an income.

• During the pre-Mechina, Mechina, and first year: You may not combine the program with employment or other scholarships that require volunteer hours, except in exceptional circumstances.
• Beginning in the second year: Working in your field alongside your studies is both allowed and encouraged. The program team will guide and support you in finding your first position in industry.
